What was living through his presidency like?

Was he a good president with good policy?

It was all show. Poor policy while his lackeys suck him off.

tried to destroy FDR's New Deal, was only about making rich richer, and fucking over the poor, he started the 'tax cuts create jobs' lie that the GOP has been peddling to the yokels ever since

No, he was just as bad. The USA just had a lot more assets to borrow against back then.

He turned the US economy around, restored international prestige, and everyone loved him. You can tell how much control Democrats have over media by the fact they act like he was a divisive and controversial POTUS when pic-related exists.

It was kind of like today without the internet and 24/7 news channels.
>MTV music videos and celebrities would shit on Reagan
>celebrities would call him names while giving thank you speeches at award shows
>news anchors would blame him for everything bad
However…
>Arnold and Stallone movies were huge
>Chuck Norris pro America movies were huge
>American flags everywhere
>punk rock and rap were legit counter cultures
>going to the local pool or arcade was exhilarating and girls wore slutty stuff to attract boys and everything was affordable

As a kid I remember it from a child's perspective.
It was like Hulk Hogan was the president and he just dropped the leg on the rest of the world.
It was FUCKING AWESOME.
What you didn't know is it was all fake and scripted even if Ronny loved the US.
The liberal media shit on him 24/7 and tried to create scandals around him, but he had the nickname "The teflon Don", he was untouchable kinda like Trump.
Now the liberals all claim they are like him cause they are whores.
Ronny loved America and was real man, but the evil political machine won in the end.
His big heart got taken advantage of by immigration bullshit.

I was born right at the tail end of it so can't really comment but my parents were huge fans of Reagan, I still remember the day he passed away and the principle who was an old stoic man sounded like he was going to cry over the intercom announcing Reagan's passing

It was a completely different time, America is irrevocably broken at this point
