I was trying to search a product for restaurant supply and spent almost an hour trying different research terms to get a bulk price. I never got anything better than an Amazon half case still sold in retail packaging.
Search is somehow more useless than a paper catalog.

This shit can be be 5 cent a unit of 4.5 cent a unit and that will actually add up. You can't just buy the retail shit at 10 cents and expect to not lose money.

The classic catalog and a phone call is still how business is done but now getting the phone number is harder because you will get useless results for that.

You're missing the point. 10 years ago, you could enter even a somewhat vague search query and google was smart enough to take the hint and show you exactly what you were looking for. Now you can use even a well crafter query with quotation marks around key words and booleans and it will still only return that same page that didn't have the info you wanted over and over. It's barely functional. And don't get me started on YouTube

I KNOW there are more than 6 videos about this topic and yet...here are only 6 results until you scroll past some clickbait garbage.
