how the fuck do all these "invisible" men start getting noticed in their 30s? I was noticed as a teenager, and in my early 20s - no money, autistic, I didn't have a car till I was 25. But now at 33 women my age, do not notice me at all. Hell, I just got rejected by a 40yo woman who is "desperate" otherwise. I still have my hair, clear wrinkle-free skin, I look youngish, even get compliments on my looks by strangers sometime - but compared to my early 20s its like being invisible to women, even post-wall women don't find me attractive.

There's nothing magic that happens in your 30s, just because you hit them. If you were to say, continue to be on welfare, live like a shut in and just play video games and shitpost all day then you wouldn't notice any real change.

What happens for some men, is that they enter their peak earning years (from promotions at work or growing a business), they develop good social skills, they start to figure out women (often with some failed relationships that teaches them things each time).

There is like an inflection point, where you're not that old yet but you have all these other things in your favour that now make you more attractive to women and you can get a woman. You're also just more mature and don't give as much of a shit about petty stuff that a younger version of you would get sucked into.

My best friend is a guy that's short, bald and overweight. He's not good looking and he knows it. He was teased about his weight from early age. So he learned to develop a sharp tongue, quick wit. Knows how to cheer people up and is genuinely funny at times. Things only really clicked for him at 25 or so. Where he'd been socialising enough, hosting events and observing people to where he could read people/crowds well. After that point, especially when he got used to public speaking/events he had zero problem getting women. He drives a shitbox too so it's not money.

There seems to be a concerted effort to try to convince young men that it's futile to even try, that things have already been decided for them (based on some criteria they can't change like looks). Which I'm sure there are some young virgin men who are afraid to approach women and only use dating apps could see as true but I think there are also people with more sinister motives. The truth is that you can really fuck up your early life as a man. But it's possible to turn your life around even in late 20s or early 30s. I know plenty of guys that just wasted their lives with video games and weed that eventually had that "what the fuck am I doing with my life" moment and got themselves together and after like 5 years went from a mess to someone on the right track in life, that did eventually get all the things they wanted like house and girlfriend. But you have to put in the time, and plan your life and be consistent over at least several years. I don't know if young men's attention spans are so fucked now that just keeping to a dead simple routine (where they lift, eat well, leave the house at least a three times a week and so on) that it's just too much effort if they don't get the gains they want now. Lifting is the simplest one right, like it's clear it takes years to properly build muscle but people only doing it for the cosmetic results will give up before that because they started for the wrong reasons and want that shortcut.

Some of that is just being young and impatient but that is where older men should come in and try to help them.

I got way more attention at 30 than I did my 20's. Totally thought the days of getting a girl younger than 25 was over, but it was literally the opposite. Then I noticed @35, it started to slow down. At 40, it doesn't really happen anymore for any girls under 25.
