Woke & SJW Future
Do these people have anything to look forwards to in the near-future, or are they done for good? How will politics look in a few years to a decade?

The framing “Woke & SJW Future” is already misleading. It assumes that social justice concerns are just a passing fad rather than long-standing movements tied to civil rights, feminism, labor rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and anti-racism. These struggles aren’t new, and they don’t “go away” just because some people don’t like them.

Social justice movements adapt. In every generation, critics declare them “done” — from abolition to women’s suffrage to civil rights to marriage equality. Yet each time, the movements grow, shift, and achieve lasting changes.

Politically, younger generations consistently show stronger support for diversity, inclusion, and equality. Polling trends show Gen Z and Millennials are more progressive on racial justice, climate change, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ rights. That’s a demographic shift, not a temporary internet trend.

“Are they done for good?” ignores that systemic inequality still exists. As long as people experience discrimination, poverty, or marginalization, there will be movements pushing back.

The future of politics is likely to involve ongoing tension between progressive pushes for inclusion and conservative resistance. But the idea that “woke” people will vanish is historically unrealistic — marginalized groups and their allies don’t stop fighting for their rights.
