I have never seen this picture posted by anyone but me except for the time I saved it. Its one of my favorite pictures on my laptop. I just posted a photo from the folder where that picture is saved. Multiple times within the past week I have seen something elsewhere only for me to immediately see a post about or of the same on 4chan, where posts are supposedly random, made by individual users, and not targeted in the slightest. The only other time I have ever seen such coordination in what I am doing/looking and what I am presented with was on Instagram, before I deleted my account.
Something fishy is going on.

It wouldnt be a bad way to keep people engaged on an otherwise dying website, and most people wouldnt notice if it was happening. Every so often though, as with all technology, there are mistakes. It becomes too obvious, such as in this case. That gif has been posted 21 times since 2023 when it first appeared on /pol/, and besides a spammer who made several posts with it, the majority of them have been me. This isnt the only incident though, within the last week alone at least once if not several times a day I see posts about obscure or relatively obscure topics that I was reading, posting, or otherwise interacting with here or elsewhere, sometimes with gifs/images that are similar or nearly the exact same as ones I have saved on my laptop. I wrote it off as pure coincidence, but its been happening far too much for it to just be a coincidence.

Maybe the memes and infographs I see arent as common as I think they are. Maybe these arent the memes and infographs everyone else sees. Maybe this is designed to keep you in an echo chamber, or stunt you in development of your beliefs and interests. Maybe thats the purpose of all of this.
