Yep... You need to look left one more quick time before moving your car at all when turning left across traffic. People focus way too much on the right lane and will start to pull out before ever even checking left again... being it must still be clear.

Sure enough, first result was a plebbitor story posted 10hrs ago so OP has to back there.

Anyway it's a real story and you can use google street view to see where it hapoened which was 2300 block of Highway 87 South in Orange County TX.

It's the most dip shitty Texas thing around too. Official Justice of the Peace county office, in a rusted double wide metal trailer. When you leave the dirt (of course) parking area you can go either direction. To turn right from a damn stop sign to merge onto a 4 lane freeway...... or you can, from either direction... turn left across the entire freeway.
Where one direction is up and over a rise so you're basically blind to distance traffic. holy shit, is there no traffic planners at all in that shit hole area? You could have just made it a one way left or right and full speed merge lane.... but no. Oh well.. Texas being Texas I guess.

yeah it is insane going from a stop sign to the hwy but we have some rural properties like that here too you just make sure some truck isn't barreling down on you before pulling out tho.

we have one lane logging access roads where if you don't have a CB radio to hear warnings and no experience you're going to die as they don't stop and come flying down that road, retards get caught there all the time despite the warnings everywhere not to proceed
