Of course some of it can be excruciating with poorly positioned delivery, rupturing and bleeding as well as tearing, but I think these cases are used by the majority of women who have much shorter and less grievous births to milk sympathy and LARP as great sufferers of terrible anguish. A normal or slightly undersized baby delivered in a modern hospital with no major complications or bleeding done in half an hour is probably not even that bad. That's not how evolution works, retard.
Genetically healthy women won't experience as much pain giving birth as would ones with specific genetic defects affecting the process, like having their pelvis be too thin. It doesn't kill them or, even if it does, the kid may still survive in, passing along their genes. And this group of women experiences sharper pain and can't do shit about it. And this kind of mutation is deeply entrenched in the population nowadays. Factor in that medicine has figured out that if a woman can't give birth naturally doctors can just slice inside her and pull the baby out anyway, and there is zero natural selection left to prevent the spread of population that can't give natural births at all, much less painless ones.

Women struggle with childbirth because:
- Women wait until their 20s to give birth instead of doing it at 14 when their bodies are adaptable.
- Childbirth is no longer sexualized. Women could give birth much more easily if the experience was sexualized to them ie stimulating their clit. The biggest issue with childbirth is muscular relaxation.
