Simple. Azerbaijan is lead by a Monarch in the second Generation already, who has followed a very clear strategic plan to:
>have a bigger economy than their rival
>have a bigger military
>have a population motivated and educated to take back their territory
>be in a better diplomatic situation
And then they just took the opportunity, when Europe needed Azerbaijan for it's connection to Central Asia and access to gas, when Armenia became full retard, since it's a democracy, and thought they could play both Russia and the USA against each other without committing to either. It's simple. Not to mention having excellent relations with Russia, Israel and Turkey AT THE SAME TIME.

Democracies are cringe, gay and retarded. The dictatorship won. Armenia even years after this event still hasn't had a civil war or got taken over by their own dictator. They had decades to become a Libertarian market economy and have insane economic growth. But they just decided to be a stupid gay democracy, while being in a dangerous, life-threatening geopolitical position.

Israel was the largest supplier of arms to Azerbaijan in exchange for oil. Turkey is a NATO state and they were a major backer of Azerbaijan in terms of planning the attack and they flew Syrians and jihadists to Azerbaijan. They will deny this of course but the US and NATO could have done something about all of this. They waited to attack right during the height of the Covid-19 bullshit as well, when the world was distracted.
