Reminder that the Confederacy was the last group to stand up to federal tyranny in any meaningful way. The Union only won due to its massive population and willingness to sacrifice its people so that EVERYONE would be a slave, not just negroes. The US wanted every person, regardless of skin color, to be a slave and that is what we have today. Negroes were taken care of by and large in the South and in many cases were part of the family. The ghettos and crime we see today from inner city blacks is due to this disruption in natural order. Negroes, more than any other race, NEED structure and law, and granting them freedom ignores that fact.
