I know the knee-jerk reaction to being rated by an agency just for living sounds bad but her me out. Right now we have a system that basically rewards miscreants. If you are a fuck up we have safety nets for you, so many second chances and help but if you are a good person that actually is a net positive on society you get jack shit. What a social score would allow is for those people, regardless of income, to be recognized for being a good human being that's trustworthy and not a shithead ready to rob you as soon as your back is turned. People should be rewarded for being good people, not just rehabilitated when they fail.

No, not the same thing since even if an Amerishart bought 200 bucks worth of unhealthy goyslop every month for 3 years, and paid the debt fully at the end of the month, he would still get a perfect credit score that doesn't reflect morality at all.
Credit score has no cheat codes at all, like being able to get 850 in one month because one donated to your country about 2,000 bucks with the credit card.
