Don't get me wrong, I don't deny it's mostly genetics and the fact they had to endure less wars for the last two centuries but how can we still learn from that? The truth hurts. It is shocking how vulnerable nations that have reached great heights are to organized propaganda and subversion.

I think mentally we're perhaps a bit more German than our neighbors. Hitler for example (supposedly) said Norwegians are the purest Aryans, but they're unruly compared to the orderly society of Germans.
Swedes are like a breed of a more balanced temprament between chill and orderly, we don't go full German so to speak, but subconsciously are very consensus minded.

Also, practically everyone grow up with the same movies and children's programs. All the Astrid Lindgren books/movies, Sällskapsresan, Donald duck and friends on Christmas etc. help shape a collective image of Sweden and being Swedish.

Yeah it's actually really simple, while we are geographically distant from any too different culture or groups. We still had eugenics, but those ideas quickly died after ww2 with nazi germany.

We used to be a really high trust society and with a homogenized culture and people.
In recent times the Swedish people has suffered from a hybris that we are just better than everyone else, and this is a lot where the problems Sweden suffers from today comes from.
We think we are the smartest, best and can't do anything wrong, and we suffer from "white mans burden" to the extreme which is why most of our politicians want to have endless immigration here to "save" everyone. And because we are so smart and perfect nothing can go wrong with doing this.

This is also funnily enough the reason we were saved from the extreme Covid restriction bullshit, because at first we were told that herd immunity was the solution to it... but later they kind of backed down from that, but at that point it was too late to do some real restrictions and our politicians were way too stubborn and incompetent to actually implement any real restrictions.
