For the last time, UBI doesn't call for printing money
There are many ways to pay for it, like a VAT, cutting the military budget, and of course money generated from new tax receipts
Whoever immediately pukes about imaginary "inflation" on the topic of UBI has no idea what they're talking about

do you guys not know how inflation works? inflation is from introducing more money supply into circulation. in the case they are talking about, the money isn't just printed willy nilly, it comes from industries where productivity increases exponentially. increasing wealth due to increased prosperity is not a cause for inflation, its actual wealth building

inflation comes when wealth is created without subsequent productivity

Who cares. I just want to be able to pay my bills and get food/internet without having to work. I don’t care if everything gets way more expensive as long as I get paid enough gibs to not have to get a job. Inflations matters fuck all, all that really matters is labor hours required for subsistence, an apartment and basic internet access. If the answer to that question is β€œzero” then sign me up for whatever system offers that. It sure beats the hell out of what we have now, where the answer is β€œzero” if you’re a nigger or single mom but β€œ40+” if you’re a white male

depends on the context and implementation.
despite what anons say, it is a real question of how individuals operate and survive if/once AI and robots take over nearly the entire job market.
UBI is an option, but has to be implemented through actual circulatory systems, otherwise if its just another thing the governments printing endlessly for it will just implode as prices skyrocket.

of course, and maybe im just too blackpilled, there really isnt any reason to discuss this. system almost never preemptively try to understand and implement fixes to their projects or 'solutions', they basically always toss them out and let the fire start and then try and put it out, instead of preventing the fire from starting in the first place. AI and robots will be the same way. alot are gonna lose their jobs, have no jobs to do, and suffer first, before the unrest it causes forces a solution... or a collapse.

Which is what UBI would be doing, because a large swath of the population will drop out of the workforce to live on the free money. Productivity drops, costs increase, then we get $50 burgers and $500 jeans.

Enter mass immigration to backfill those jobs, and they too will get UBI. There will be many millions dependent on the government for survival. That allows the ruling class to then enforce compliance with whatever they decree.

Arab oil regimes do the same thing that aristocrats did, sustain (nearly) unconditionally a small minority that lords over an underclass of poorfags (in arab cases largely pajeet and SEA apes kept in slave conditions) and in the past decade Saudis had to start making cuts to the extensive network of gibs because it costs too much and people don't want to fucking work because they don't have to. This is fine; we have millions of people "working" fake jobs already. Most employment is adult daycare aka UBI with extra steps. Just cut out the nonsense (which adds its own costs).

So that's if AI increases productivity by several magnitudes with no change in employment but currently it under-performs failing at 95% of real world application tasks which is huge because a couple of years ago it failed at 100% of tasks. But we're also seeing increasingly diminishing returns, no big break just an endless money pit that might bump that number to only failing at 92% of tasks in a couple of years. None of it is profitable, the only hope is if we gain infinite renewable energy due to new breakthroughs in material science and someone has the sense to make full use of it.
