Of course not. They'll just use taxes to buy loads of healthy fruits and veggies so the underprivileged can take 1-2% and the rest can be thrown out when everyone uses their limited benefits to buy junk food instead.

Soda is the cheapest source of nutrition after buying bags of sugar/rice/flour.
Fruit is some of the most expensive.

And this is a good thing. Most soda sales are funded by food stamps from the USDA. This is just redirecting the federal funds by a local government. All taxes should be collected and spent locally. The oversized federal government is a huge problem.

I gave up soda, now I keep a pitcher of water in the fridge. If I need caffeine I make black coffee. If I want to get fucked up I drink THC. I don't need to drink anything else. I drink psyllium daily I guess but that's it. Soda is $13 for a 12 pack, I remember when it was $2. No way I'm buying.
