Travel can be good or bad. If travel means going to tourist areas, it's bad because it distorts reality by making you think places/peoples are better than they actually are.

If travel means learning what other places are actually like, it's good because it gives a broader understanding of the world and people. But more importantly, it shatters media illusions(IE the grass isn't greener over there, it's shit).

There is so much to see in the US that I don’t really understand the appeal of traveling (I’m assuming traveling to them doesn’t count as travel). Why go to a foreign country full of people who don’t speak English where most of the time you get scammed and there is a good chance some third worlder will try to rob you? My parents took me on a Med cruise when I was a teen and the Gypsies in Rome try to pitpocket you when you get off the ship. Also I do not understand traveling alone at all. Solo travel is weird. It’s one thing if you’re in the way to somewhere or traveling for work but if you’re solo and you travel that’s fucked up.
