It's just the national mail service. People are hardly sending letters anymore, since everything is digital, so it's simply not feasible to have a national service at that level. You can still send letters, as several private companies offer services.

I haven't sent a letter in 12 years or so. Who the fuck would I send a letter to? And who the fuck would send letters to me? All letters, bills etc. are paid automatically via my bank, and if some company or whatever wants to contact me, they simply do it via "e-boks". (e-box), a national mail app where you receive mail from the authorities, banks etc.
