Cracker Barrel Made Another Quiet Change, And It'll Make Your Blood Boil
https://archive.is/RVQtg

Fresh off a week in which they lost nearly 12% of their market cap, including hundreds of millions of dollars, Cracker Barrel is using Saturday to regroup.

For those who missed it – and I'm not sure how you could have – Cracker Barrel just suffered its worst week … maybe ever? Has to be up there, right? Their woke new CEO decided to change the restaurant's nearly 50-year-old logo, replacing the old man and the barrel with a bunch of block letters.

That's it, every other logo you've seen recently, and that's what Cracker Barrel is now. Just watered-down, minimalist, and boring. There's nothing innately wrong with it, beyond the fact that … there was nothing wrong with the original.

But, woke White women with black-rimmed glasses need to make changes, no matter how dumb they are. It's in their DNA. So, this was deemed necessary.

As was, apparently, handing out participation trophies for one of the most sacred games in America.

But re-wording the back of the peg game, so idiots don't get offended when they inevitably suck at it? Come on. Sucking at the peg game is as American as apple pie. It's a rite of passage. It's tradition. That game made us all stronger as kids growing up. And it challenges us still to this day.

It created a generation – maybe two – of deep thinkers. Of innovators. Of problem-solvers. And yeah, it called us "just plain dumb" when we left too many tees on the board. And that's because we WERE just plain dumb!

It's the equivalent of giving a kid a spanking, which is something else that's been completely outlawed in 2025.

You don't want to spank your kid? That's fine. But it's absolutely necessary to call them stupid. Lord knows Gen-Zers need to be called stupid. And Cracker Barrel did it beautifully for decades while we all waited for Uncle Herschel's Favorite.

Not anymore, I guess. No more cracker. No more barrel. No more being called out by the peg game for being a moron.

The Pussification of America.

They trademarked a laser etching on a toy.

Typically if a company diversifies into toys it's a sign it's completely over and they will never recover. Toys are fads and tying your brand to them is worse than shorting at the 52 week low.
>but what about successful retailers?
Cracker barrel doesn't sell ton's of toys, they are more like a mcdonalds. They sell novelties to get people in to buy mashed potatoes.

well, I used to play that game going there as a kid waiting for the food to arrive at our table, like the author states, it is a tradition and right of passage in my opinion.
Cracker Barrel has always had lots of unusual candies and collectables you could purchase.
My question is: did they get rid of the rocking chairs?

Exactly, they dress up place to make it seem cozy so you buy the mashed potatos. That's their business model.

In the business world trademarking that toy is an admission that.
a) their traditional business model is not working out and they are flailing
b) lawyers are scamming them.
c) someone in corporate is dumb enough not to understand their brand.
d) they are actually dumb enough to think they can make money off of branded toys.

All are bad.

Maybe in 1/100 instances they become a successful toy retailer. But 99/100 times it's the sound of a bloated corpse

Do you not yet understand the neurosis of the Jew? They are obsessed with trying to constantly communicate their disdain, envy and jealousy against white people in any form they can. They are a spiritually sick demons in a barely human form.

Nigger what? Like how McDonald's have toys in their happy meal, yeah?
These chains have a budget for tabletop shit, and they definitely just make a deal with a manufacturer. So in a round about kind of way you are actually right, I suppose.
Yeah they do use part of their budget for non food items. But so does every one of these chains. It's less of an admission that their business model is living on borrowed time, than it is an admission that they copy everyone else and can't think outside of the box.

>did they get rid of the rocking chairs?

on their new game it says
>leave 2 pegs: rocking the chair, not the game

so, I'm guessing rocking chairs are still in?

My second favorite thing about cracka barrel was the pegging. What next, no more buck breaking? No more fried chick'n or turk'y with organic cranberry sauce?
