I'm muslim and I own a Lab and a Yorkshire. The hate comes from the fact that:
1- When untrained, dogs urinate and poop indoors which to be fair, goes for almost every pet that isn't a gold fish. Most of them don't bother with training them because they probably don't have the luxury of spare time to do so.
2- Dogs naturally produce oils from their sebaceous glands to keep their skin and coat healthy. These oils can have a distinct smell, especially in breeds with oily coats like Labrador Retrievers or Basset Hounds.
3- A dog’s diet can influence their scent. Low-quality food or food intolerances can lead to gas, bad breath, or skin odors as the body processes nutrients. Fish-based diets, for instance, might cause a fishy smell. Most of these people can't afford LIDs.
I can guarantee you whoever hates dogs is just improvished. Wealthy gulf arabs own tiger for fuck's sake. Dogs were common among early Muslims, especially for practical roles like herding, guarding, and hunting. The Prophet reportedly prayed in the presence of dogs, and many of his companions raised puppies, suggesting dogs were not inherently viewed negatively. Do your own research on the matter, please. That's all I have to say.
