I discover more about myself using philosophy and sometimes when necessary, using religion to guide myself morally when needing to take the correct or right action in a situation. Work also separates into all these other categories.
does the psychologist mean, housework, homework, work-work? Going to work every day is a ritual, it provides value to the person you're working for, don't forget that and if you have a family or are working towards a family, those should be higher priorities than work IMHO. Housework is eh, that's routine and baked into culture, but still, if your house is not in order and you have time to talk to a psychologist well I'd rather be cleaning a house or maintenance, being a good steward means people in the future can enjoy your work.
That bears another lesson, work-work, for someone else is also a big umbrella. If you do work that is moving a spreadsheet around, printing paper to send letters or doing lots of boring meetings, well, no one appreciates or remembers you for that, you will die and no one will remember. But... if you make something in this world, or build something etc, then you leave behind your mark on this planet, you essentially live, and that is the best thing, to discover what your purpose in this world is.
work sucks anyway, I didn't find much purpose in my work but perhaps you find yours, or don't work at all; NEET is good life, it's the end goal of a pension after all. your life is not my problem
