It is always fun to see the anti-car guys show their true colors
Itโ€™s not about pollution and congestion, they just want to control where you can go and how slow

it's really simple: can you accidently kill someone while using the thing the intended way? if the answer is yes, then you shouldn't be allowed to use it without qualifications

this is why you need a licence to drive a car, don't need one to cut your veggies with a knife. simple.

Even for the old school Schwins or rickety racing bicycles. You operate anything on the roadway, you pass a "rules of the road" test and carry a card attesting to that fact.

I didnโ€™t watch the video but my dad has been into mountain bikes for 30 years and as he got older shifted to e-bikes. So Iโ€™m going to assume the video is about how a bunch of the bikes have gay regional settings installed which in some cases greatly limit the ability of the bike. Imagine if your car could only go 35 because of the country you live in.
A bunch of people jailbreak them to get around the restrictions and go back to factory default settings.

The only two electric bikes I have that's pedal assist is a Giant (only assist no throttle) that goes up to 20 mph. I prefer my mom's Aventon (throttle and pedal assist), but I need to fix the brake sensor that cuts off the throttle, that one goes 28 mph with pedal assist and I am able to get to 30 mph downhill. Electric bikes mean you don't get gassed as quickly on long rides.

I'm not sure on what the model names are for each bike is, so I have to check.

DH is the only place where you could argue for e-bike use, but even then it's retarded because you're just gimping yourself with a heavier frame. Shuttle to the top, ride down on a proper bicycle if you don't like the climb.

>E-bike: "it's okay to use a 250w pedal assist motor up to 25km/h"

>Scooter "yeah put like 10KW in that if you want but it have to stop pushing at 20km/h

20km/h? Fucking retarded. With the amount of slopes in Norway you're easily going downhill at 40km/h anyway.

I just can't deal with this retardation. I would be fine if e-scooters and bike scooters went 30km/h, perhaps even 25km/h for scooters. but locked at 20 is just a humiliation ritual, I fully unlocked mine so it goes up to 50km/h, it's not enforced anyway unless you drive like a total retard or wipe out in an accident that gets the attention of police.

If the laws are retarded it's your obligation to stop following them. QED.

It's even more disguisting when we already have a system of regulating speeds: It's called drive acccording to the speed limit.

I take my scooter out on a perfectly straight dry road, it's empty. like 100% empty, flat, no obstacles no nothing. Any shitty e-scooter could safely do at least 30km/h, but no, locked to 20km/h.

The ever progressing eurofaggot mindrot demands illegality to be tied to top speeds. Repulsive.

I have a vanilla bike for regular commuting, it's fine for that purpose and it gives me a workout given how hilly it is.

The problem is due to extreme amount of hills here there's nothing like a casual bikeride into the city, it will be a sweat soaked workout and sometimes I just want to get from place A to place B, or just cruising around to explore without the effort of a regular bike.

A legal e-scooter gets you around but there's absolutely no fun in it. It's the very opposite as you're frustrated any time you get to an open boring road that you just have to wait for the glacial movement of the scooter to get you forward.

"No fun allowed" might as well be the entire constitution of this gay country.

Bicycles are based. Motorcycles are based. What lies between these is poverty-tier cringe. Absolute pussy repellent. E-bikers are the most laughed at people on the roads... cyclists hate them, motorcyclists hate them, and drivers hate them. Nobody is more hated than the leglet sitting bolt upright on his retarded looking oversized children's toy, with his ratty sneakers and stupid straight legged pants flapping around his skinny ankles as he buzzes down the road. Nothing screams "virgin day labourer" louder than riding an e-bike for commuting.

I mostly just like seeing things I don't get to see with the naked eye, but also imaging because it's super technical. Yeah, fidgety is a good word for it. You need to set up the mount perfectly, which presents its own set of challenges with a few different ways to calibrate. Then the optics, things like mirror slop and collimation. Then you need to set up good guidance, get good images through proper camera settings, take light and dark frames, stack, etc. I don't do it very often, only when the atmosphere is very stable which is rare. It mostly just soothes my autism with how much focus it requires. My real passion is wildlife photography since it's a consistent challenge, pic rel.

Yeah, that's why I would go with a kick scooter. They fold up into a briefcase or backpack, and weigh practically nothing. Easy to hop on and off and use in pedestrian crowds, no need to leave them anywhere. Pretty sensible form of transport. As with most things, they only became a problem once they received motors and it piqued the interest of the lazy masses.

These laws mean nothing (and aren't really enforced).
Buy a cheap Chinese ebike -> jailbreak it , grats you can drive at scooter speeds without having to get any certifications or driving exams. You can also mod your bike quite easily with basic tools without having to own a mechanic workshop.
I spent around 10,000-15,000 USD in total on Ebikes in the past 5 years. It's faster using one than going by train or car (or god forbid bus). Totally worth it.
Get a range of 75-200 km depending on the amount and type of batteries i carry around and speed you go at which is way more than you need in a small country.

I did this and people still interfere. I had some crackhead from the city getting a taxi all the way out here to dig for clams with his girlfriend, and he kept stashing some of his gear on my property. When I found it, he'd snapped branches off a bunch of trees and left cigarette butts, garbage, and literal human shit in a pile. I confronted him and told him I'd be throwing out his canoe in 24 hours. He promised he'd remove it but didn't, so I threw it out onto the main road. He came back the next week without his woman and flew into a rage when he saw his canoe was gone, then came back with another canoe a few days later and tried it again. I called the feds on him though, because he was digging illegally. Usually I don't rely on the government but knew they'd take him digging illegally far more seriously than his trespassing, so went for the kill.

Here's the funny part: They commandeered a canoe from a neighbor... and it was his canoe. I threw it out and the neighbor took it. So they chased him down in his own canoe. When he saw it, he had a meltdown and they put him in cuffs. Then they towed both canoes back to shore with an outboard, and confiscated them both and charged him $1500. Then he got trespassed from my property. I documented the process because it was one of the most ridiculous things I've witnessed.

Nah, it's mirror slop/slack/sag. At such high focal lengths, the tiniest bit of movement is magnified. As the mount rotates over the top the mirror will sag very slightly from one side to the other so you can't expose during that window, and have to account for it. Even if it were mounted completely rigidly (which it can't be as it has to slide) it warps under its own weight. It's only really an issue at 10" diameter mirrors and up.

Class 3 e-bikes arenโ€™t legally allowed on sidewalks. They also donโ€™t have throttles and are peddle assist only though you can add one of the controller accepts it. You can also unlock the speed cap of many bikes. The cruising speed of most e-bikes is around 15 MPH which is similar to the average speed of cyclists. I got a class 2 just to ride through the neighborhood (never on the road) and I get it up to 20mph often but I can still stop at that speed itโ€™s not much different than a normal bike it just does some of the work for you

No exciting reason... got into CAD as a kid, first for video games and then making things. Didn't go to school for machining specifically but picked it up as part of my regular job and ended up making a small shop at home for side projects. Made a few basic tools like a bucking bar for riveting, a lot of jigs for cutting stuff. Making a 20' aluminum boat right now. I already made a 12 footer manually, with jigsaw and file years ago. This one's going to be welded and have an interior. I post the progress on other boards sometimes, where people are less retarded and full of cope than the average /pol/ poster.

The only people I see on these things are fatties, obvious druggie bums and 45 year olds with DUIs.

brown teenagers ride these things specifically because they have not license or registration requirements.
the vehicles themselves are fine, just a gimped motorcycle, but real motorcyclists have more respect for pedestrian traffic than these spics

I don't like these for the same reasons I don't like public transportation.
The SCUM doesnt need wheels, the SCUM doesnt need easy access to travel.
The druggies here all use these to get around town.

If you just buy a bike and hop onto it you're in for a whole host of problems. If you fit one to yourself properly you won't have any issues. This includes saddle fitment.

>frame height
>distance between headset and seat tube
>head tube angle
>distance between center of crank and saddle
>crank arm length
>pedal type
>cleat type and location
>bar height
>saddle shape
>saddle tilt

You need to know these things (and more) as well as your own measurements.

I'd be fine with no licensing or regulation of any vehicles if my country was White. But it isn't. We need laws to keep the dregs of society limited.

I would imagine that Armstrong fella knew his measurements and look at him and his one ball. But if you're taking mitigation measures and being gay on the road is more important that avoiding the risk entirely, I mean, you're Canadian after all, I get it.

Cyclists don't ask for those laws, people on bicycles do... it's the poorfag hipsters and women who live in the inner cities. Cyclists don't want bike lanes.
