Why does NATO believe it can use Ukraine to overthrow the Russian government?
One thing I just realized is that the main reason the war in Ukraine broke out was because NATO was based on a serious cognitive error.
>That is that NATO believes that the Russian government is vulnerable.
All it took was Ukraine to cause Russia's economy to collapse and then use Ukraine to plunder Russia's strategic resources.
Russia has land, food, minerals, industry, and 144 million people.
>Nazi Germany couldn't even defeat Russia back in the day.
>Why would NATO think Russia would collapse because of Ukraine?
Europe has been sucked dry in just three years, and they are so poor that they won't even expand their military and increase their military manufacturing.
Hell, to this day, Europe is buying Russian energy. Because Europe simply doesn't have enough energy.
It's turned into a hilarious spectacle of Europe funding Ukraine while funding Russia.

It’s not NATO, it’s the dumb goy cattle that loves spectacles like these even though they come at the cost of that very same dumb goy cattle. Europe is already broke. Try selling something on Ebay in Europe. Enjoy the wait.

Many such errors really. They also seem to believe that Ukraine attacking Russia itself with drones and US weapons will make the Russian people stop supporting the government. Wars just don't work that way.

It fucking is NATO, with nudges from psychos like Biden.
Look at how closely the billion dollars he talked about with Burisma was tied with what happened consequently.

It has been one huge clusterfuck based on the fact that everyone involved is retarded.
It started back in 2012 when Russia stood up for Syria, cockblocking US streak in ME for the first time.
Then US sponsored the Ukrainian revolution merely as "fuck you" response, but no one could have even remotely imagined that it would go that far.
The current invasion is similar. US only wanted to disarm everyone a bit, make Eurocucks buy more US weapons, and make Russia forget about ME. And once again no one could have even remotely imagined that it would go that far, and even US who started it doesn't know how to end it now.

if russia had literally sat back and done nothing at all NATO would have most likely dissolved or scaled back its spending massively. trump was threatening to leave nato, macron called NATO a brain dead zombie, and a lot of european countries didnt see the point in forced spending to fight against what they saw as a peaceful and reformed russia. europeans even laughed in trumps face when he told them they were growing too reliant on russian gas.

The leadership caste in the west is a far cry from what it was in the mid 19th century, thanks to egalitarian social systems...

Even Trump is more strategic than the European elites.
What the hell is wrong with them?

The entire Russo-Ukrainian foray was a NATO-backed ploy instigated by the US deep state to further cement America's status as the unipolar world superpower. Since the 90s, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, NATO has been slowly encroaching onto Russia with their membership creep. They saw the USSR as a weakened anti-Western entity and wanted to finish it once and for all, by toppling the current Russian deep state led by Putin and installing their own western puppets.

It was obvious this was their strategy ever since they flirted the idea of Ukraine joining NATO. And Russia knows that, hence why the invasion took place immediately afterwards.

>inb4 russian fake news
I don't have a dog in european geopolitics, but even as a neutral outsider looking in, it's obvious this was what truly transpired. NATO and especially the US thought they could provoke Russia into a war with Ukraine (which they did), leading to the deaths of many young Russian men, simultaneously the entire Western coalition will starve the Russian economy via sanctions, all in a play to incite a insurrection in the country. They failed because of Putin's iron grip, and now NATO is all about "muh ceasefire, stop duh killings" because they want to go back to square one.

Because proxy wars have worked since ww2 ended.
You think anyones gonna give up on a working tactic until the moment it no longer works.
Maybe they will come up with a different strategy if ukraine is conqured.

But for now nato is just gonna fight until the last ukranian

NATO thought Russia would advance slowly. While everyone else laughs at them for that fuckup that raped a lot of their forces this actually caused a big problem for NATO when those same forces quickly took Crimea and held on to it. From there it is just a matter of logistics proving once again as being more important then the technological gap when you don't immediately go MAD as even their own expensive toys got destroyed with nothing but drones and missiles left.

It's very strange. /pol/ likes to describe the deep state/globalists/jews or whatever as some masterminds, when imho there's very different powerful factions who hold power in the West. Theres the standard neocon/lib warhawks who want to establish American global dominance at all costs via force, IMHO they are the most retarded of the bunch. Then there's the diversity faction that for whatever reason wants everyone to race mix into their overglorified vision of a brown soup where everyone is theoretically made equal because of it, then there's the weird technocratic faction who recently came to power - think Peter Thiel, Alex Carp, Vance and Musk etc, who want to bring the world under some AI totalitarian singularity. None of them have the best interest of the citizens at heart, which is ironically hilarious considering you guys are supposed to be the epitome of a liberal democracy.

>if russia had literally sat back and done nothing at all NATO would have most likely dissolved or scaled back its spending massively.

why would they do nothing when they can win the war and take eastern Ukraine, also exhausting NATO's weapons stocks in the process?

The political system only promoted people with tons of money who are expert media manipulators, and on local politics it promotes gangsters and their friends who take over local governments and destroy the police force
