Can anybody explain what this country's deal is? They seem rather average in all the normal standard of living indexes but they have an insane diaspora. Moroccans in my country and western Europe in general hate living here it appears but they never go back. Part of the reason for that is the fact that they're Morocco's underclass. They're the children and grandchildren of illiterate shepherds and peasant farmers from the Rif and Middle Atlas mountains.
