use one name for family, use another for friends. your family name, i.e. your middle name, is something only your family calls you, or friends of your family. whereas your other name, your first name, is the name for everyone else. it helps you to unconsciously recognize whose important and whose not. the people who call you by your family name will naturally be people youve known the longest, the most trustworthy. everyone in the friend zone isnt limited to the friend zone, if theyre around your family, they will naturally adopt the other version of your name.
i just happened by this on sheer luck, and i have to tell you, it works. it gives you a barrier and keeps you mindful of whose important in your life.
