Why does wealth inequality matter?
Did you know that only a small percentage of the population owns all of the x-ray machines in existance? It's immediately obvious why that is. Most people don't own or care to own one. So why do people think it's unfair that factories, warehouses, office buildings and bulk carriers are owned by a select few? The reason is the same with the x-ray machines: They are not useful in other people's hands. Being an entrepreneur requires owning more assets than being an employee. Leftists talk about net-worth as if it's all liquid cash that can be readily chucked off a rooftop down to homeless people when really most of it is in the form of productive assets.

Plus, the reason why inequality is growing is because the demands of the lower classes are growing. We are not a wheat and minerals economy anymore. Even the poorest people in society demand advanced medicine, sophisticated electronic devices with advanced chips and circuitry, cars with components from all over the planet and an internet connection. This is why it will only grow more in the future. Asteroid-mining, fusion energy and widespread anti-ageing cures can only be developed on trillion-dollar budgets.

Inequality doesn't matter. Only baseline living standards do. If these are going up who cares what the others are doing? All the whining is from envious people with an autistic obsession for some numbers being equal.

There's nothing wrong with wealth inequality. it is a trait of capitalism. Communists want to destroy capitalism so they harp on about wealth inequality.

Because 99.9% of wealthy people got it as a result of immigration and or outsourcing and should have their assets seized, be placed in camps and forced to work to earn their freedom.

It's not just a want, but also a need to partake in society and the economical structure and social.

You need a computer/phone and internet connection to do most menial things nowadays.

>Since 1950 extreme poverty has gone down from 63% to 10%
Baseline living standards are defined by how many people are escaping extreme poverty. It’s the main thing that matters and shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Also globally middle class has increased to 3.5 billion
Most of this is driven by free market economies, not daddy government giving people stuff

the countries the lowest inequality are the most homogenous ones
Multirracial countries have naturally more inequality due to more genetic variability
