I'm not an IQ denialist but I am a skeptic -- can someone who is a true believer explain this to me?
IQ correlates with success. But to say this says anything deep about intelligence is a leap. It could just as well be that success correlates with IQ; that is, we've set society up in such a way that it is beneficial to be the type of person who would score well on an IQ test
High IQ is basically a measure of willingness to go along with the modern project, which is why countries without a high IQ culture fail in that respect. But it doesn't say anything about epistemology or biology

IQ is an imperfect but still meaningful and useful measure of intelligence. It is also positively correlated with various measures of good life outcomes (income, health, etc.); you shouldn't fetishize it, and there are plenty of successful retards and derelict brainiacs, but people who claim it's completely useless are coping

If you want to be successful, as an individual, you need to be able to read, write and have a grasp of math, if not also abstract concepts.
As a collective, a single high iq person cannot drive it to success. You need several people in that position that can drive it forward.
Iq isn't a measure of success or intelligence, it is a measure of someone's intellectual capabilities and limits. Some folks cannot understand conditionals or recursive logic. So anything related to that is barred from them and that society.
This is what this is all about. It doesn't even matter that these countries defraud the iq tests like singapore or taiwan. Their countries are shitholes. And with fake numbers they can only achieve fake greatness. India is very well measured and represented. They are good at scamming but most cannot do simple tasks.
