Yes this is political because we are discussing FDA regulations and the potential trade deal between Canada and the United States regarding food (which is the biggest variably by far in any potential trade deal).
The United States and Canada have very different food supply standards but in my opinion, neither are high enough and we need Kennedy down at the FDA to realize that the ONLY way to get a trade deal with Canada regarding food would be to establish and North American wide food testing standard because Canadians are genuinely worried about the quality of food coming from America. But in my opinion the standards need to be higher.
