Life after highschool
Is life after highschool fucked?
You're pushed into a shitty job market, every degree is inflated by assholes, and a friendless "exchange-only" society.

Since I graduated it's all I've thought about. I'm nostalgic for COVID lockdowns and everyone wearing masks. My life feels fucking meaningless now.
In fact I MISS the weird tranny people who made being different their whole personality. I hated them at the time but it gave my life some comedic flair to see them and laugh at them.

Even in college nobody wants to talk to each other. It's all transactional. And I'm not sure if I even have a future since the job market is fucked.

Why do Americans peak in and glorify HS so much? I could barely wait to finish that shit and start working. I was a popular weedman in hs, had a gf and everything.
Life just got better after early 20's.

Imagine everything being held together for you for 18 years. You're never taught how to hold it together yourself for any of those 18 years, and in fact you get comfortable with it being held together for you.

Suddenly the support is gone and you're left to fend for yourself. You have to hold it together yourself without any training.

The school system fails American students because it never tells you what to do after highschool, it's just trying to make a quick buck off of you. It doesn't care about YOUR future.

Human beings will resort to cannibalism if threatened. The neet phenomenon has nothing to do with the job market, and everything to do with parents who enable it. If you need to, you'll flip burgers and deal crack, if you don't you'll sit in your mother's basement waiting for that perfect job until she dies at 90 and you inherit nothing because every last penny she had went to big pharma and the nursing home to squeeze out that last couple of decades. Your move.

You'll deal with it, and get used to it, billions have, or you won't. It is what it is.

I'm still going to college and seeking out apprencticeships. It's just hard to even get into anything. I've had to switch majors because I realized how saturated my last one was.

you don't know how bad can it be, I was morbidly obese as a child and had my entire body ruined by the end of high school, even my dick didn't grow in puberty because fat tissue turns test into estrogen

The WORLD is high school. If you didn't thrive there the world will be no different.

I dont mean to discourage or disparage you or your generation, if anything this is my best attempt at encouragement. I'm in my late 30s, I moved out and started my career during the 2008 recession, as all of my friends. It sucked to be sure, is what's going on today worse? I dont fuckin know, but you do what you gotta do.

The only concrete advice i can give you i don't set your sights too high for the perfect starting point, get your foot in the door wherever you can, asskiss, backstab, and climb, and most importantly prioritize above all else; paying off your loans/debts, don't fuckin start living paycheck to paycheck with your first job because you have to go out partying every night.

It sucks we have to resort to this, but I thank you for the advice.
As much as it sucks, I take comfort in knowing everyone else is going through the same shit that I am right now.

Very good way to look at it. (You) are better than all those losers and statistics.
