Was Epstein kind of the end of the "populism" grift for the right? Sort of the point when people are realizing "wait a minute, they really will make any hollow promise in order to get in to office,"?

Populism is a meaningless slur that just boils down to "things which are popular which the elite don't like, so we need a way to denigrate them as stupid no-no policies for dumb-dumbs"

Well it seems to me that the situation is the populist elements of the republican party's Trump platform, which I will tell you that I personally was stupid enough to vote for twice, have eroded and been exposed as a sham.
