What is the psychology/politics behind mazez/labyrinths ? What do they mean, why have we made them ?

Mazes are honorary Aryans. Mirrors! Mirrors are true niggers!
dwelling in one house are strange brothers three,
as unlike as any three brothers could be,
yet try as you may to tell brother from brother,
you'll find that the trio resemble each other.
The first isn't there, though he'll come beyond doubt.
The second's departed, so he's not about.
The third and the smallest is right on the spot,
and manage without him the others could not.
Yet the third is a factor with which to be reckoned
because the first brother turns into the second.
You cannot stand back and observe number three,
for one of the others is all you will see.
So tell me, my friend, are the three of them one?
Or are there but two? Or could there be none?
Just name them, and you will at once realize
that each rules a kingdom of infinite size.
They rule it together and are it as well.
In that, they're alike, so where do they dwell?
As we enter the last Shabbat of the old year, we look ahead to the unexplored, unmapped territory of the new year, where anything โ good or bad โ could happen. What gives us the courage to step into the new, when so much is unknown? The ancient rabbis gave us a gift in this regard when they set aside the view of time that sees it as an arrow shot from a bow, inexorably leaving the past behind and barreling into the future. Instead, they saw time as a cycle, a spiral. As we walk along the path, we see patterns recur and familiar signposts come up again, even as we are never precisely in the same place that we were when we last passed by these markers. As we celebrate the new year in turbulent times, with such rapid and unpredictable change, let us take comfort from taking a wider view of the pattern of our lives, integrating both what has changed and what comes around again, the markers that show us the way forward. May we walk forward with courage and hope as we begin the cycle again.

>>513976977 (OP)labyrinth - long, very twisty, ultimately linear
maze - long, many false paths, only one true path therefore ultimately linear(this example of maze)

I have always had a fascination with mazes, and my eyes are often drawn to maze-like patterns. Bored in school, I would fill up sheet after sheet with mazes.
