I was born into the US Army. They had me running obstacle courses when I was just a kid. They taught me how to do everything from maintaining a proper workout routine, to properly wiping my ass (yes, you're probably doing it wrong).
Now I am 42. Every day, including the weekends, I wake up at the same time and make my daughter breakfast and begin my routine. I only eat salads, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, and various meats I marinated or cook in a crockpot. No carbs, no sweets, no high-fructose corn syrup, no cane sugar, no aspartame. Throughout the day, I ensure everything remains on schedule, as my state government expects of me. If a problem arises, I solve it. If something breaks, I fix it. If something rips, I sew it. If something bleeds, I patch it. Whatever life throws at me, I'm ready for. I start dinner at 16:30. My daughter showers at 18:30, and goes to bed at 20:30. I spend the next 2 hours working out, then I shower, masturbate, and go to bed. The process is repeated the next day. I have no family outside of my daughter. They are all dead. Not joking. It's just me and her now.
I am muscular, single, focused, free of hobbies, and completely devoid of any distractions. If it was possible to be a single father space marine, that's what I am now.

No. Carrying a gun is such a small part of being in the armed forces. It's about discipline and the holy mindset. You don't understand it because you were never a part of it.
The grind will continue.
