Just from an artistic / propagandistic perspective I think the white outlines should be much thicker, the hands should be omitted, the weapons should both be parallel, it should be a simple square, and it should be white on black. The weapons depicted are a seax and a small axe, the weapons used by the non-elite Anglo-Saxon during the early medieval in England (could also use a spear, but not a sword).
