Los Angeles, for all its faults, never got as bad as Paris. Paris is a war zone filled with gangs of migrants accosting tourists to scam them and leaving filth everywhere, it's the exact opposite of the dreamy chic image Japs have of Paris. I think the 90's were pretty stable, from records I've looked up a house you brought in 1990 would stay about the same price in 2000. I think stability would be good, I think tax would need to be reduced because a lot of people buy property expecting increases every year, I think if it stays the same land taxes would be really unfair.

the entire modern financial system is designed to assume significant future growth (through population and technology) and leverage against that, and then to service the debt with that future growth, take out more debt, continue.

We have a huge extractive class that basically requires this for existence. Millitary industrial complex, anything dependent on government funding, and obviously all the banks/financial system.

The key thing about the debt based economy is it basically gives all power at distributing power to the financial class, they get to choose where the new money goes. Anytime there's a new loan that's more of that money being created at their choice.

When you have a rapidly growing population, that's fine and kind of works in the short term (keynes the faggot that came up with this was part of an homosexual club that hated people who have kids and in his view in the long run we are all dead and didn't care how it worked in the long run.)
It's basically a scam to centralize power among the state/finanical class.

Because birth rates have gone down we are more dependent on technological/economy growth. (if there are less future people you need MORE economic growth per person, so the economic demand goes up)

To get around this the focus has been importing immigrants to try to get that increase in the birth rate/productivity growth. Sadly they are all subhuman animals and only negatively impact growth.

So they are manically trying to figure out how to create this growth to keep the entire financial system and modern economy collapsing on itself.
The US has totally destroyed it's productive/manufacturing base, we don't actually do anything and are basically totally dependent on these financial games.

So yes we need growth to keep that scam going.
I'm not a fan of the scam though so I'd be much happier if we stopped growing, however realistically that probably means they'd just destroy the country w/ immigrants (which would slow growth more)

Perpetual growth is just a totally retarded idea that only seemed to function because we had a brief period of rapid technological improvement that basically destroyed society and is also over. With immigration we've destroyed the culture and genetics of our country as well.

Perpetual growth is just a scam to steal that and it has totally destroyed the country but as I said it also underlies our entire financial and monetary system now and I have no idea how you get out of it smoothly.
