Those cover everything. Mind, body, spirituality. If you can apply their knowledge to anything, you're useless. But in all seriousness they cover it so well you really shouldn't need anything else.

Seconding, I feel these 90s wars are more relevant than god rest their souls the Roman emperors conquests. What sucks is in an abstract way I don’t feel we have any good modern generals to compare talking post 90s/gwot. Even Jim mattis was objectively pretty bad. Cant speak for other countries but in the US it’s well documented the reasons for this impediment are mostly bureaucracy and military decision making pyramid related. Very ineffective. Pete Blaber documents it good in the mission, the men, and me. Highly recommend

this is politically correct. the real reason is in a totalitarian country military officers are selected for political reliability first, through a political process, which involves them making decisions in political ways. this results in bureaucracy and inability to make decisions. the only way around this is to choose generals from a group that is intrinsically politically reliable, because its continued existence depends on the preservation of the state, for example alawites in syria, or jews and fags in america. in the final days of the american empire, all white officers above captain level will be replaced with hastily commisioned jews, even if they swear up and down that theyre women
