Oversaw the largest US deficit (yearly budget net negative) with the budget passed in 2019 of 3.1 trillion deficit in 2020. Granted a lot of that was due to covid spending but he oversaw that.
And now is currently overseeing an estimated 1.9 trillion
deficit this fiscal year which is the highest outside of 2020/2021 covid money printing. A ~1.2 trillion increase from his first fiscal year budget passed in both 2017 and 2018. 2017 is iffy since it passed 8 days before he was elected but you cannot argue he had nothing to do with that budget despite not being sworn in yet.
