Why?
(pic related)
They say they won't even be able to get a "high resolution" image of 3I/Atlas until it's near Mars, at which point they can "get an image with a resolution of 30km per pixel" (which is really low). Yet we have super HD supposed photos of planets and shit.

80iq posts are so tiresome.
Take your phone and take:
>A picture of the clouds in the sky
>A picture of a grain of dust flying in the air 200 feet away from you.

Well anon? The clouds are so much farther away, why do you see them so clearly compared to the grain of dust? It must be the devil playing tricks on you

The 3I Atlas rock is what, 30 miles long?
That nebula is hundreds of millions of miles wide.

Take a pair of binoculars, you'll be able to see a mountain 5 miles away, but you won't be able to see an ant, will you.

Pillars of creation (the top right image) is about 2 arc minutes across in the sky, that's almost 1/10th the size of full moon. 3I/Atlas is about 0.00004 arc minutes or 50000 times smaller or about 1/3rd of the size of a singular pixel of the pillars of creation image and I mean the 8400x15000 size full image, not the twitter image.

Nebulas are enormous. Those nebulas photographed are larger than the Milky Way. And also, the slower something moves the easier it is to photograph. Things far away appear to move slower. Things closer to us appear to move faster. It's also the difference between long exposure photography and a snapshot. Those nebulas were probably taken with multiple exposures that took days or weeks. Try taking a long exposure photo of a baseball coming at you.

You have the brain of a 5 year old child.

So you can't get a photo because it's too small?
How about the hundreds of tiny moons from Jupiter, Saturn and other planets? Why can we get a high res pic of them?
I'm calling out blue beam and tapping the sign at the same time on this one.

nebulas are pretty fucking big
the hand of God nebula is about 10arcmin (1arcmin being 1/60th of a degree) wide
another example, the Orion nebula is about 60arcmin wide
for reference, the full Moon is about 30arcmin wide (yeah, Orion is twice as big as the Moon: it's just much fainter)
now, 3I/Atlas being about 6km wide and 389 millions of km away means it is about 53 millionth arcminute wide (ie about 200 thousand times smaller than the hand of God Nebula)

the hand of God nebula also is 9.9 magnitude, Orion is 4, and 3I/Atlas is 15.9, making the two formers respectively 251 times and about 60 thousand times brighter than 3I/Atlas
justsaiyan.tiff: of course, if there was some fuckery, they would never tell us either

Mars is about 335 million kilometers away, ie only 14% closer to us than 3I.Atlas
and James Webb has a resolution of about 0.1 arcsec, ie less than 2 thousandth arcmin
and again, 3I/Atlas is about 53 millionth arcmin wide (about 30 times smaller than the resolution of James Webb)

The images of space start off as pitch black. The complete black screen turned into a b&w pic, then turned into,,,

Image filling your toilet with black shit and then painting it. And that is space.

Says who? Also what I've seen, they are pretty clear in size when you actually see a high quality image of them, so you're free to disagree
Anonymous (ID: Q7b9uff+) United States No.514026094
OP, because of how far away it is, how small it is, and how fast it's moving we don't have enough time to get high quality photos. Looking into space is similar to night mode photos. You point your camera in one direction and let to gather as much data as possible for a while. Same reason we didn't know Pluto's real color (right?) until the probe flew by it.

Also nebula are so massive that it's incomprehensible.
