I'm someone who doesn't have a problem with eithnic groups having their festivals or whatever in other countries. As long as it's organised and friendly, I don't care. I'm not even mad at this one but I am UTTERLY baffled at holding an independence day celebrations in a country that had nothing to do with it. We wouldn't hesitate to call usa citizens silly if they did July 4th celebrations like this in China, so I don't see why this should be considered anyless silly.

In Singapore, stupid fucking festivals have to be approved by the government. If there is one that isn't approved like some foreign country's independence day, the organizers get fined and the police disperses the crowd. If foreign, deport. But someone has to bother to report them tho.
