I haven't heard of it, no. I'll be looking into it. I've often wondered about the mechanism of evolutionary mutation. A lot examples of evolutionary quantum leaps smack of Lamarckianism. My perception of it has always been collective choice on the behalf of the species as a whole. sort of an evolutionary expression of the same impulses that allow flocks of birds/schools of sharks to turn en masse.
Fluctuations in the bioelectric field would explain the mechanism by which this is communicated, and how it would interface with the gene expression.
