Researchers have found a possible explanation for why certain people are prejudiced: they're less intelligent.

Children with lower general intelligence are more likely to become prejudiced as adults, according to a Brock University study.

The study, published in the journal Psychological Science, examined data from two large-scale British studies, and found lower intelligence scores in childhood were predictors of greater racism in adulthood, which the researchers controversially explain is brought about by adopting right-wing ideologies.

A secondary analysis of data from a U.S. study also showed those with poor abstract-reasoning skills were more likely to have anti-homosexual prejudice, partially linked to authoritarian attitudes.

The article is kind of dumb.
Stupid people do gravitate towards more violent and antisocial behaviors in general. This is partially because every study since the fucking 70s has shown that being able to imagine yourself in someone else's shoes is a key sign of developmental intelligence.
That doesn't mean all people of any party are smarter or dumber, just you're more likely to attract dumb people to your party if you use extreme rhetoric that pushes "My way or the highway" style thinking.
I am sure if they studied kids who believe you should be jailed/killed for misgendering or not caring about someone's skin color, they would find similar results.

But this is all developmental intelligence.
As you get older you can start to form beliefs based on your rational views of a situation.
Yes you should still be capable of empathy, but you should also know that sometimes a foot needs to be put down.

It's actually pretty nuts. They ban people for the most minute shit. I scroll into this tiktok live the other night, a "black" live stream and they're having a heated discussion... they have 1.2 million likes on the stream, which is a lot and they get paid X amount... and then the people on their panel have THOUSANDS of 'coins' which is tiktok money.

It's actually a great case study in the social credit score system we may be seeing. THESE PEOPLE have the "approved" rhetoric of kill whitey...This guy with $400 worth of tiktok money is spewing basically reverse POL talking points

And you'll get your universal basic income by filming your entire life, and basically crowdfunding our welfare programs. The people w\ undesirable thoughts will be banned, and not make money. The people w\ the correct thoughts will get money hand over fist for spouting the state-approved thoughts.
