“Jewish systems of ruling”: The Jacobins’ policies (like the Reign of Terror, revolutionary tribunals, guillotines, dechristianization) were radical and bloody, but they weren’t “Jewish.” They were born of Enlightenment rationalism, paranoia about counter-revolution, and wartime emergency measures.
