I've always enjoyed the occasional hike, but I hike 3-4 days a week at a small local mountain because it's literally the only thing I have to do outside of my apartment besides going to some store or hitting the laundromat.

I used to be a huge bar fly. I don't do that as much because I'm aging, I can't really afford it, and because it's a small city and I don't need my coworkers seeing me at a bar since they know I had a DUI a few years ago.

Did you know that in the USA circa ~1905 every single small town had a Dance Hall? This wasn't an analog to a modern day nightclub. This was a place where every Saturday night there would be live music and anyone who was anyone would show up. Old people, young people, kids, everyone. It wasn't all about getting drunk. It was about dancing and community bonding. I think some redneck areas still have something similar where both young and old can come and dance to live music. I live in a big city, not many of those places are free of foreigners. In fact mostly everywhere is overrun. Just the other day I was at the shops dodging jeets and chinks, as they walk into you if you dont, and I just thought this is horrible. White people are friendly, polite, being in public around them is nice.
