They grew up in the safest, richest and most coddling nation in the history of the world. They were raised to view compassion and caring as the highest of virtues even if it was only so their parents could sleep soundly after drying their tears with stacks of cash in solidarity with the poor they had removed from their neighborhoods. As a result, all it takes is some boo hoo sob story about Juan, Demarqueef or Nguyen being poor and "seeking a better life" to instantly make it a good thing in their eyes. More so since they were raised to be irresponsible with money as that was a man's job so explaining the cost or a budget to them is impossible and they live affluently enough that, for now, they don't actually have to live with the diversity. This is rapidly changing and you can look forward to many more years of "Yo lil' Donnie" posting by women coping with their shit lives by pretending their suffering is a virtue that will be rewarded because they "cared".

They are shitty, narcissistic people inside and so they think that overcompensating, in their mind, makes them a good person and they're doing the right thing.
It's a misguided attempt at kindness, but they really can't express kindness and love. They have deep seated psychological issues and/or trauma at a young age, such as being molested, that cause a life- long personality issues and inability to properly express emotions
