/pol/ is actually a good aggregate board it's basically /b/ and /r9k/ mostly without porn with a more serious tone compared to /bant/
Any hobby or vocation off topic thread is unironically higher quality than the respective board it belongs on.
I only started lurking here when mootykins put a sidewide banner telling anons to raid /pol/ so ive seen the iq degradation first hand in 11 years but i still love board nonetheless
