You are correct that British people are passive upto a point. Its part of their culture to not interfere or make a fuss unless absolutely necessary. In recent decades that culture has been abused by successive governments and the British have been weak standing up for their own rights but they wont stand for it indefinitely. The other thing is that most Britons dont view a low level of immigration as a problem. Controlled and selective immigration into Britain has been successful for centuries, its only over the last 30 years that controlled immigration of good people and families has turned into mass immigration of things you can barely classify as human. The British culture has meant that they have been slow to respond but respond they will. I just hope its not to late
