Opensource was taken away from hackers that just made things work, they were thrown out of their own projects, and replaced by women and faggots. Who have "special rules" like that one ("if windows WoW doesn't do it: we won't hack around it and do it).

Hence no 16 bit support.
Which many of the 95 apps were, or their installers were, or a library was etc.

There never used to be arbitrary "rules" like
1) U cannot be better than current windows OS!
2) U cannot violate US law and do whatever U want with software defined radio in code!
3) U must not add security features to code like PaX / Grsecurity type hardening!
