Anon, you couldn't be more wrong. First of all, firearms are legal and a Constitutionally protected right. There isn't much of a reason to carry bladed weapons when you can carry a gun instead. That said, I live in Texas and it is legal to carry most types of bladed weapons including both swords and spears. In other words, I can already carry a spear or a sword with me. But I don't bother because a gun is far more effective.
