No, it's from being fat as a kid.
A lot of people don't realize that the amount of fat cells in your body doesn't change much at all after puberty. You can gain or lose weight and reduce the amount of fat stored in those cells, but the cells themselves along with a minimal amount of fat will remain unless you enter into extreme famine type conditions for an extended period.
If you were a far or even just slightly chubby kid who stayed that way into adulthood and then lost weight, you will still maintain a significant number of fat cells which will prevent you from looking as shredded as someone who was skinny when going through puberty.
That is also why you can easily regain any fat you lost, because those cells are just sitting there waiting to store it. Meanwhile, that guy who has always been shredded can eat as many calories as he wants, and still won't get very fat because he has a limited amount of fat cells available to store fat.

I workout 7 times per week. But I only do 2 heavy excruciating sets for the major upper body muscles (chest and back) on gymnastic rings to increase fiber recruitment.
And then 2 sets for the biceps and triceps. My arms can easily handle 30 sets per week. But my chest/back I have to limit to 7-10 sets per week. Anything more and my sleep turns to shit and I feel like killing myself after doing that routine for a month.
For legs I do 10 hours of zone 2 cycling per week and at least 2 days of all out interval training.

Meh if you manage intensity properly (e.g. Sheiko's routines) it's easier for a natural to handle high volume. Ligament issues, tendonitis and so on become a bigger problem when on test since you're moving bigger weights. Tendon strength will lag behind muscular gains and that makes handling higher volume difficult despite enhanced recovery.

it's not about injury, I've actually never injured myself. It's just that I feel like utter shit after weeks of high volume. For me, major upper body compound movements are very taxing. I'm more like a climber, lanky build and my quads are pretty big and gain muscle very easily. Upper body, much less so. I'm very good at cycling. Upper body strength, not so much in spite of 10+ years of high volume training. I only recently started cycling and I'm just a natural. I easily beat guys who've been cycling for much longer than I have.
I can do 10+ hours per week of pretty intense cycling and I recover easily. But high volume upper body after a few weeks and my sleep turns to shit. Everyone's body is naturally better a different things.
My upper body looks pretty well developed, but there's a lot of guys that just gain much easier than me. It's really just down to genetics.
Those big guys will beat my ass in bench presses but I'll embarrass them on a bike or on a run or climbing all day every day.

Play football with your friends until you get exhausted like you're a child again (say 3 hours instead of one).
Have sex with your girl all night long.
Go out to "dance" all night long.
Spend the entire evening fixing your car and lifting heavy weights while doing it.
Go try to run with your dog all evening.

We are made to do physical stuff. And if we skip a meal or two who cares? As long as you can replenish the next day and have a deserved rest, you're golden.

I did full body almost every day, just never to failure. The volume compensates for intensity. It's actually a good path for naturals backed up by studies. Just takes up a lot more time than most people are willing to put in. I lifted like that when I was younger just because I enjoyed lifting and had the time to make it an all day activity like that. I'd even have meals in the middle of my workout and keep lifting lol. No time for any kind of proper routine these days so I just squeeze in what I can when I can and maintain low body fat with my diet. I'd say it's achievable for 90% of men but it just takes a long time of dedication to have that exact body composition, especially to be lean. Lots of fatties have close to that level of mass already, plus not everyone has the same inserts. Certainly 50-100 years ago with hormone levels then it was definitely achievable by 90% of men even if it took them from age 20 to 35 to do it. He is definitely bigger beyond a hunter gatherer natural baseline but not insanely so, the leanness and inserts are what makes it look even bigger
