don't post much on here, but it's refreshing to see a more level-headed opinion. i consider myself to have a high level of emotional intelligence as well and also have a sibling who is transitioning as a young adult. although i have conflicting views on transgenderism, ive observed that dysmorphia seems to be more of a symptom or manifestation of other issues during childhood, not necessarily a standalone condition. many of these people need help and compassion, not caustic rhetoric. criticizing the current institutions that perpetuate this stuff is perfectly understandable and i'd happily join in, but seeing people joke about confused and troubled children/young adults killing themselves is disgusting
