How do americans cope with their healthcare system being more expensive but also worse than the socialized medical systems?

Mine is not expensive at all. I can schedule a hip or knee replacement, for example, and pay at most a $15 copay for everything. From examination to surgery to recovery. The entire process is $15 out of my pocket at most.
You need to stop assuming every single American down to the last man has absolutely no healthcare and every time we stub our toe it's $25,000.
