I think this is a mistaken or incomplete way of looking at things, heavily influenced still by the Enlightenment-era ideology of humanity (or at least Western civilization) heading into a new age of intellectual enlightenment, scientific, technological, and industrial progress that would inevitably develop everything for the better, beyond the previous “Dark Ages”, etc…

In fact, even while we have all these technological advancements, and advancements in things like basic sanitation and hygiene, the technological/industrial growth also has all sorts of catastrophic runaway effects. Our bodies are filled with a massive amount of various toxic synthetic chemicals that shouldn’t be in our body naturally for instance (endocrine disrupters and xenoestrogens, microplastics, things like Teflon, etc.)

Another thing is that we can now en masse kill vast swathes of people, in war or terror attacks, far more rapidly in ways not feasible in the previous centuries before the Industrial Revolution and its growth into the 20th-century and beyond. The 20th century was one of unprecedented technological and scientific advancement for humanity, but also gave us the atomic bomb, the atrocities of World Wars I and II, and biowarfare, for instance.

Next, and this may admittedly sound like a leftist point at first, but the modern system also seems to profit and thrive off exploitation of others, the poor needy masses of third-world countries, or desperate Chinese or Indian slave labor (whether making the shoes and shirts or the iPhones etc.). But this is combined with the world’s “elite” seeing the clear problem that, if the West too openly exploits other parts of the world too much, they might gang up and actually make some significant challenge and backlash to the West.

So, what seems like “the most enlightened, advanced, scientifically-illumined and progressive technological era of all time” might actually be a front for a new, heinous ultra-hi-tech feudalism, slowly wearing us down (through various false-flags, or provoked and engineered events, or just planned future happenings like a big climate catastrophe, etc.) into a new unprecedented state of slavery while we imagine ourselves as “free enlightened moderners, who’ve never been more advanced than now!”

Greatest wage disparity to housing cost, ever. Worse than the Great Depression. 1 3.5 people in on working in America is a foreigner. Every European country will be majority not White in my lifetime.

I followed all the rules, behaved for the teachers, obeyed the law, didn't get up to any retarded mischief, worked hard in school, graduated from a good college with a good GPA and a non meme degree and I am still working as a bartender and living with my parents at 23 because every professional job I've applied for told me to fuck off.

Millenial here I work hard and have good work ethic. I graduated in 09. The only job I could really find that payed decent during community college living with parents was delivering pizza. Was okay until my car started breaking down and put me in debt. Then I had 8 seizures in a 24 hour period (couldn't legally drive for 6 months though I started to after 3). Only jobs that would hire me were low paying pizza making jobs that I wanted to get away from. Had an AA and tried other jobs, one was some cold calling energy sales shit that closed two months later. Tried male modeling but kept asking you pay $400 for multiple separate things. Tried another job turned out to be mlm (barely legal pyramid scheme). Went to school for diesel mechanic but lost Pell grant because I missed school from having ulcer flare ups. Work at whole foods. Go back to trade school for IT. Get a shitty but mostly easy help desk job even with net+ and sec+ getting payed less than whole foods to be a Janny but was able to balance both working 72+ hours. Finally saving money living on my own for 3 years. Try some gay infosec program that was expensive but promised results. Only girlfriend that was really great wants to be celibate (christian) and wont move in until we're married (her culta don't do that). Energy ruined. Do that bullshit living on money I saved working 7 days a week. Every job that interviews me doesn't move passed 2nd round interview. Blacks with no IT experience or education get jobs but I don't. Ask about applying for department manager position, they said i don't have enough supervisor experience. They hire an old lady with high blood pressure that doesn't understand anything going on but "has experience". Apply for promotion in other department. "Wow you interviewed so well! But can't nit give it to girl already in department doing the job already". IT certs have expired by this point.

I was better off working 72 hours 7 days a week almost falling asleep commuting.
