Interestingly, most of the rich and beautiful are never told this bullshit. They are never taught to be ashamed just for fucking existing. Imagine being told by motivation slop to just improve yourself when every real decision one could make is pay and looks walled. There is no way to try anything, because it never was a choice one could make. The only real decisions one is given especially as a man that didn’t win the genetic lottery are cannon fodder for the op or slavery. Of course it is depressing, it is a natural response to how fucked things are. We used to call people that had to earn the right to exist slaves. Just because they aren’t getting their asses whipped and dying in mines today doesn’t mean they aren’t. In a way it is a worse servitude because those same comforts they are afraid of losing is the same club they’ll use to bonk them over the head when they want to be treated a little better than livestock. All it cares about is money. It is a cheap evil wench that plays competitive limbo, because when you think something is low, it only gets lower until we are all clutching our fucking seats in fear and trembling waiting for any one of the disasters of the perfect storm to wipe the hueman beans off the face of the earth. There is no real agency in an economic horror movie directed by the fucking Wendigo itself for compliance in a distasteful kafkaesque torture that takes maximal advantage of your capacity to hope for a better tomorrow only to be met by a swift kick in the balls and an untimely death.
