How many illegals have gotten through though? Oh...right...zero in 3 months.

Protip: Any wall of any height is scalable with enough time. The point of the wall is to not give you enough time before patrols scoop your ass up. ~30,000 armed personnel on the border between National Guard and Border Patrol, so about 15 men per mile, if you don't factor in the parts of the border that are effectively double walled because of how harsh the terrain is. Well, its doable if you're an experienced backpacker, not a coyote with a bunch of women and children in tow. Anyways, 15 men per mile, trucks, drones, motion sensors, dogs, cameras, it's like saying you're gonna escape East Germany except the surveillance technology is 10x better.

I'm aware this is a bait thread but I still typed this autistic response. I should get a diary perhaps. Pic unrelated.

The best way to handle the border is to shoot to kill anyone crossing illegally and don't let up. Protests will come flooding in but ignore them and keep shooting. They won't dare if they know that's a possibility and we'll have the most secure border possible.

this worked at the iron courtain as well
they climbed the walls with the chainlink fence and even dug tunnels underneath

iron courtain is the best example for successful border protection measures as well as what counts as ineffective border protection measures

>Conservative government at any point since the abolishment of the White Australia Policy

>Imagine believing this shit. They just stopped reporting any arrivals.
Okay then dude you could say this about literally anything. Imagine believing that wall even exists. Imagine believing illegals even exist. Did we stop trusting FBI crime stats when the government was run by niggerfaggots? No because they comported with the expected likely reality: Nignogs doing most of the violent crime. In this case, giant wall with 30,000 troops on it and sophisticated surveillance tech, not much of a stretch to say it at the very least significantly reduced crossings.

Let's say it's only a 50% reduction. How much would it cost in personnel costs to achieve the same reduction with just manpower? It's a force multiplier. The same way a fence in a prison is. You can climb one of those with enough time, padding for your hands so they don't get cut. The reason you don't is because the guy in the tower is gonna shoot you before you get to the top.

>Any wall of any height is scalable with enough time
destroying the structure in the process sure
simple climbing, pretty 100% sure i can construct a unscalable wall given "enough" funds (analog to your "enough time" requirement)
the current post fence is a compromise
if money and resources ( including manpower ) were of no matter you could "simply" construct something like that saudi "the wall" project
build a monolithic surface, 20ft high with negative angle towards the outside, add fine-machine oil waterfall that coats the thing and flows into a 10 ft deep oil moat. for good measure add remote controlled and ai monitored (for motion detection filtering) guard towers with cutting edge thermal vision and .50cal autocannons
declare a mile wide death strip to anything that moves along the wall structure excluding areas of official border crossing gates.
so much for autistic responses

>that has not worked in keeping people out for years?
Based on what? Government stats? But you don't believe the ones now that say its working better now after Trump added 20,000 National Guard to the border? Are we just arbitrarily choosing what we want to believe based on feels? I guess that's all anyone can do anymore in this era of AI and 24/7 propaganda.

Also, it's probably not just "black paint". It's pic related. Not surprised Trump or anyone else hasn't heard of this shit. Only building managers and parkour guys have. Also pic in OP is literally from a video from the Biden era. It's not even painted, its in shadow. I remember the video, around December, they were FLOODING in in anticipation of him taking office in January. That's also part of the whole equation, psychology. If people believe it works they're less likely to even try.

>>514190732
I mean yeah, there are better walls you can build. This was the most cost effective one out of the 5-6 proposals contractors offered. That's the point of the wall, a cost saving measure because it accomplishes the same thing as thousands of extra troops. Also, it's a lot harder (physically and political capital wise) for a future President to remove a wall, than the National Guard.

>simple climbing, pretty 100% sure i can construct a unscalable wall given "enough" funds (analog to your "enough time" requirement)
Yeah, with infinite funding? Sure you can build a whole orbital habitat for Americans to live away from the Mexicans without that constraint. The issue is just the cost-benefit versus however many troops you would need to achieve the same efficacy as the wall + troops.
